New York City’s Museum Mile

Depart by motor coach from SAA at 9:00 am and arrive in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art by mid-morning. Tour MMA on your own or any of the fine institutions located on NYC's famed Museum Mile. Bus departs from in front of the Met. at 3:00 for return to SAA.
Winterhur & Brandywine River Museum
Wednesday, June 16
Depart by motor coach from SAA at 8:30 am and arrive back at SAA approx. 6:00 pm. The group will tour Winterthur, the American country estate and former home of Henry Francis du Pont (1880-1969), an avid antiques collector and horticulturist. In the early 20th century, H.F. du Pont and his father, Henry Algernon du Pont, designed Winterthur in the spirit of 18th and 19th century European country houses.
A visit to Winterthur will immerse you in another time and place. Rediscover America's heritage through its unparalleled collections of antiques and Americana. Venture out over the fields and farmland to learn about the workings of a great American country estate. Wander through the breathtaking beauty of the 60-acre naturalistic Winterthur Garden.
After lunch on your own, the bus will visit The Brandywine River Museum, exhibiting American art in a 19th century grist mill, known for its unparalleled collection of works by three generations of Wyeths and its fine collection of American illustration, still life and landscape painting.

Subscription is sold as a package of four trips as stated above. Cost includes round trip motor coach transportation to/from SAA and admission and tours to Winterhur and Brandywine River Museum only. No refunds are given unless a trip is cancelled by SAA.
